Sharon Straus

The Sunshine Pantry in Beaverton Oregon is run by a selfless woman, Sharon Straus. If someone should get an award for running a non-profit food pantry it should be her. Sharon's mission is to make sure "No child goes to bed hungry." Sharon and her family help run the organization, she spends much of her own money on the food but mainly gets donations for numerous grocery stores around the area. Sharon's  Sunshine Pantry has been helping single moms, the working poor, children, and the unemployed for over 25 years. They give food, clothing and household items. Sunshine Pantry has helped thousands of family's in their 24 years of business. She is an amazing person and has helped so many people. She has made such an impact on everyone she has helped and will soon help.
